I saw the Amazing Kreskin on television hypnotizing audience members when I was a very small child and I have been fascinated by hypnosis ever since. I began my studies in hypnosis in 1978 and have continually studied the many facets of hypnosis which include forensic hypnosis, hypnotic anesthesiology, stress management hypnosis, weight management hypnosis, smoking cessation hypnosis, insomnia hypnosis, memory hypnosis, pain management hypnosis, sports performance hypnosis, self-confidence hypnosis and on and on!
I have had the privilege of training with some of the most experienced hypnotists around the world and am considered a world class hypnotist and hypnotherapist myself. I also have a PhD in Religious Studies, 90 hours toward a PhD in Psychology and have trained extensively in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming). You will be hypnotized by me and not just lulled to sleep! It is important that you enter the Theta state of hypnosis, because this is where the changes take place.
When you decide that you might like to try hypnosis, you must conduct an interview with the potential hypnotherapist and ask a lot of questions. You must feel completely comfortable with him or her because if you don’t, your subconscious mind will not allow you to reach the Theta state of mind which is paramount in creating any kind of change.

Most everything individuals know about hypnosis is based upon what they have learned from television!
Assuming the above statement is true, you may think your hypnotherapy session will start with the phrase, “You are getting sleeeeeeepy, sleeeeeeepy, sleeeeeeepy,” accompanied by a pocketwatch or crystal swinging in front of your eyes.
This is not how a person is hypnotized in a hypnotherapy session. In fact, forget everything you know about hypnosis (anything you learned on TV, anyway), because Hollywood style hypnotism is a thing of science fiction. It is dramatized to the extreme, and for obvious reasons (ratings).
Will you be under my complete control during your hypnotherapy session? Absolutely Not!
Let’s dispel an erroneous myth right now! The belief that you will be under the control of a hypnotist is simply not true. The truth of the matter is that if any one suggestion feels uncomfortable for you, it will be immediately rejected by your subconscious mind and you will immediately pop out of hypnosis.
As a matter of fact, the first 5-10 minutes of your session with me will be spent explaining exactly how authentic clinical hypnotherapy works, as well as answering any questions or concerns you may have because in order for you to become hypnotized, you must:
1. Want to be hypnotized (no one can hypnotize you against your will).
2. Have no fears or misconceptions about hypnosis and how it works!
